Richard Law

Richard left school at 17 to work as a coal miner in South Yorkshire.  From there he became a mining engineer, gained a degree from Imperial College and went to work for RTZ in Australia before training as a Chartered Accountant, working as a Finance Director and becoming Chief Executive of GB Group in 2002.

Spotting the emerging trend towards the use of intelligence derived from data to disrupt existing business models, Richard led GBG through the launch of the world’s first electronic ID verification service, combatting the rise in identity related fraud.  Today, the company is world leader in identity data intelligence with a market value that has risen over 90 fold since he became CEO.

Richard is also an early stage investor in, and Chairman of, online motor finance market leader Zuto.
